Membership & price

Four types of membership are offered at QWS.

At SHIBUYA QWS, you can select a membership plan that best suits you - in addition to becoming a QWS Member as an individual, you can also be one of the QWS Project Members to work on a certain project as a team, or a QWS Corporate/Public Member as part of a company or public entity. What’s more, you can also provide support as an expert in a particular field being a QWS Commons Member. Feel free to choose a membership plan that best suits you.

Before Applying

Thank you for your interest in joining SHIBUYA QWS as a member.
We would like to remind you that SHIBUYA QWS is different from other facilities that offer membership in many respects.
Please make sure to read and agree to the following points before applying:

Communication First

Because communication among the members is the primary focus, the floor is often lively and may not be suitable for those who want to work at ease and undisturbed.

Inclusive Space

The inclusive nature of the community space may make it difficult to handle highly confidential contents.

No Registration Allowed

SHIBUYA QWS is a place for co-creation and is not an office for rent.
QWS or its address cannot be used to register a company.

Application Procedure - QWS Project Member
STEP1
Application and interview Prior interview with the SHIBUYA QWS office is required.
Please fill out and submit the entry form. The SHIBUYA QWS office will contact you after reviewing your application. *This process may take some time. Please note that entry does not guarantee an interview or admission to the program.
STEP2
Online agreement and payment information If you are approved for membership, please register your payment information from the URL provided in the admission email. (You must register a credit card in your name or a corporate credit card in your organization's name. Debit cards and prepaid cards are not accepted.) *The date of admission will be the date you register your payment information from the URL provided in the email, and you will be billed on the same date.
*The first payment will include the registration fee and membership fee for the first two months.
STEP3
First visit and access authentication Please bring an ID issued by a public institution (driver's license, health insurance card, resident card, extract from family register, My Number card with photo, passport (issued by the Japanese government and valid within the expiration date), special permanent resident certificate, residence card, etc.) when you visit for the first time.
On your first visit, your biometric data will be registered to be used as your personal identification in the building's security system. *If your ID does not show your current address, please bring a postal item such as a utility bill or credit card statement that shows your name and current address.
Application Procedure - Corporate Public Member
STEP1
Application and interview Prior interview with the SHIBUYA QWS office is required.
Please fill out and submit the entry form. The SHIBUYA QWS office will contact you after reviewing your application. *This process may take some time.
STEP2
Submission of documents An application form and an extract from the registration book (corporate members only) must be submitted upon admission to membership.
STEP3
Account registration Corporate and Public Members can register a maximum of two accounts per organization. *A maximum of 4 people per organization can use the facility at the same time, regardless of whether they have an account or not.
Please fill out the information on the required form and submit.
STEP4
First visit and access authentication On your first visit, your biometric data will be registered to be used as your personal identification in the building's security system.
Application Procedure - QWS Commons
STEP1

Please fill out and submit the entry form. The SHIBUYA QWS office will contact you after reviewing your application. *This process may take some time. Please note that entry does not guarantee an interview or admission to the program.
STEP2

*You will be charged an annual membership fee in addition to the admission fee at the first settlement.​
