Question with sensibilityThe name SHIBUYA QWS is an acronym from “Question with sensibility.”
We believe that exploring the essence of things and incessantly asking questions become the starting point leading to new values.
“By encountering, refining and releasing my questions posed, I want to create power that will change society.”
We are seeking people such people.
Members interact with each other crossing the boundaries of generations, status, and industries.
With the community concept of Scramble Society, various stakeholders that include not only entrepreneurs and investors, but also engineers, creators, researchers, corporate businesses and local municipalities gather here and prompt intriguing chemical reactions.
As a place where a wide variety of people gather, SHIBUYA QWS has 4 different types of membership plans. Those wishing to join us can select the plan most suited to them.

Our environment allows it to nurture such ideas into a real movement that may one day change the world we live in.
There are no restrictions regarding the field or scale of the project given that it is based on your unique view and sense of questioning the norms, and that it is something that can be worked on involving a diverse group of people.
We invite you to explore the potentials of a project that is unique to you.
If selected, you will be given the privilege to use the project space of QWS directly connected to Shibuya Station.
New ideas are born from encounters between dissimilar elements. At QWS, there are fascinating players of diverse backgrounds. At first, I only observed due to my lack of confidence, but after getting the courage to ask questions and participating in QWS programs, as well as getting involved in cross-cultural exchanges and exchange games, I gradually began to see the “unknown” that I didn’t know.
Running simulations based on someone’s questions
Other people’s presentations and productions can sometimes draw new inspirations. Put yourself in that person’s shoes and freely imagine the rest of the story, or create a remix of the idea with respect. Or when you replace someone else’s question posed with your own problems and fantasize, values can be created unexpectedly at times.
Engage in impromptu sessions
Repeating trial and error alone is fine, but sometimes it could be more fun after gathering a group of peers. Forming a team with peers you have connected with through pitch events of other events, you can dialogue on and experiment with common themes. If you get the courage to engage in a session on your own questions, you can encounter new possibilities you never thought of.
Informal meetings in the kitchen on questions
We turned our usual meetings and brainstorming sessions into discussions at the kitchen table with food and drinks we prepared. Deepening one another’s questions over delicious food and drinks together with everyone’s curiosity is one of the things I enjoy at QWS.
Enjoying because it’s something unknown
Not knowing the results makes me want to take on the challenge. There is no correct answer at QWS, so we can keep challenging ourselves to do things that seem reckless. Engaging with diverse members from different backbones and building teams will change your questions and values. Once you start enjoying even that change, your confidence becomes conviction, accelerating your ideas further.
Diligently play with and seriously joke around
Serious play is also important in boosting creativity. The PLAY GROUND allows for physically intensive theater acts and gymnastics in addition to discussions and brainstorming. Incorporating play and touching on issues from different angles will provide opportunities to come up with unconventional ideas.
Have the unfinished be loved
Unfinished things that have not been determined in the way they are viewed and used are treasures in the process of development. When we demonstrate a product prototype or a work in progress at CROSS PARK, QWS members who have sensibility to questions will react to them as their own. The scramble is deepened by being actually seen and touched, regardless of their phase.
Positions are irrelevant to possibilities
QWS has professionals who relate with and support the activities of QWS members. Even to someone you would normally feel shy speaking to, you can dare to boast your activities at QWS. Beyond advice and feedback, you may get a chance to start a project together.
Outside QWS will also be within range
By participating in regularly held pitch events at QWS, you will be able to present the “seeds of possibility” you have created in front of many people. If this leads to opportunities, the scope of activities will quickly expand and may one day become a new movement that will change society.
